ANIMATION

The sci-fi animation category has been dominated by the Japanese for over 60 years. While the U.S. makes incredible film and TV science fiction, we have made no attempt to enter the animation market. We believe that the time for an American company to create exceptional animated sci-fi is now.

Our priority animation project is Rat Bastard. It was created in 1995 and optioned by Ron Howard’s Imagine Television in 2000. Originally scheduled to air on UPN in the fall of 2000, the show was shelved when Viacom/Paramount merged with CBS. The mini-pilot made by Imagine languished on YouTube for years, never exceeding more than 50,000 views until the summer of 2024, when viewership rocketed to 137,000 views by a new generation of fans. By the end of 2024, the views reached 200,000.

The Rat Bastard pilot was originally written and produced by Robocop creator Ed Neumier and directed by Batman: The Animated Series director Kevin Altieri. Mr. Altieri is still attached as director to this day.
